Rehab that takes you
all the way back.
Most people leave physio feeling a bit better — but not back. Pain fades, they're discharged, and six months later the same problem returns. We started Motion Theory because we believed recovery could look different.
We're a multi-disciplinary clinic on West Broadway in Vancouver. Physiotherapy, chiropractic, RMT, kinesiology, and acupuncture — under one roof, working together. But more than the services we offer, it's how we approach recovery that sets us apart.
We don't discharge you when the pain stops. We discharge you when you're back.
Serious rehab for people who move.
We're not a drop-in clinic for minor aches. We work best with people who have a real recovery goal — and who want a team that takes it as seriously as they do.
That means post-surgical patients who need a clear protocol from day one. ICBC clients who want a real plan, not just sessions. Active adults — runners, lifters, skiers, parents — who want to get back to what they love, fully.
Post-surgical patients
ACL, rotator cuff, hip and knee replacement, spinal surgery. We follow surgical protocols and work closely with your surgeon.
ICBC & MVA recovery
Full-length sessions, direct billing, and a structured plan from the first appointment. No guesswork.
Active adults rebuilding
Runners, cyclists, gym-goers, tradespeople. Rehab that doesn't stop at pain-free — it stops when you're back doing what you love.
Post-acute & in-home patients
Through our PhysioHome partnership, care doesn't stop at the clinic. We provide continuity for patients transitioning from hospital or who need in-home support.
We treat rehab like a plan, not a series of appointments.
Every person who walks in gets a full picture of where they are, where they're going, and what the steps look like in between.
A real assessment
Not 10 minutes before treatment starts. A full session dedicated to understanding your injury, your history, and what "recovered" actually means for your life.
A plan with milestones
You'll always know where you are in your recovery and what comes next. Hands-on treatment when it helps, progressive exercise when it's time to build.
A proper discharge
We don't close the file when the pain settles. We work through return to sport, return to work, or whatever return to life looks like for you.
Continuity beyond the clinic
Through PhysioHome, we can extend care into your home if needed — particularly for post-surgical patients or those transitioning from acute care.
The standard model isn't built for full recovery.
High-volume clinics run 15-minute appointments. Passive treatments — heat, ultrasound, generic exercises — manage symptoms without rebuilding capacity. People feel okay and stop coming. Then the problem comes back.
We built Motion Theory to be different: longer sessions, clear progression, honest timelines, and a commitment to seeing recovery through — not just managing it.
