Nico Marchant, MSc, PT

MSc, PT. Registered Physiotherapist, BC

Nico Marchant is the founder of Motion Theory and a physiotherapist with over 20 years of international clinical experience across hospital rehabilitation, private practice, sports medicine, and university teaching.

He holds a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and is a registered physiotherapist in British Columbia. Throughout his career, Nico has worked across Canada and Chile in hospitals, sports rehabilitation centres, and academic institutions, including roles in orthopedic surgery recovery, sports injury management, and biomechanics education.

Approach

Nico's clinical work is built around one principle: understand how someone moves, find what's limiting them, and build a clear path back to full function. His treatment combines manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and load management, designed for active adults who want to get back to the activities that matter to them, not just manage symptoms.

Clinical Interests

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation (hip, knee, shoulder)
  • Sports injuries and return-to-activity
  • Chronic pain and spinal conditions
  • ICBC and motor vehicle accident recovery
  • Performance rehabilitation for active adults

  • QubeCore Sports & Rehab: Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Kinelab Sports Rehabilitation (Chile): Sports injury recovery
  • University of the Americas: Assistant Professor in Biomechanics
  • Arbutus Club: Injury prevention & performance rehabilitation

Nico founded Motion Theory to bring serious, performance-minded physiotherapy to the Broadway corridor. Care designed for people who expect more than a standard clinic experience.
