Who It's For

Workers with compensable workplace injuries including back strains, shoulder injuries, knee trauma, repetitive strain conditions, and post-fracture recovery. We work with active WorkSafeBC claims as well as workers recovering from non-compensable occupational injuries through extended health coverage.

What We Assess

A thorough functional assessment maps your injury against the physical demands of your specific job. We assess not only the injured structure but your occupational movement patterns, lifting mechanics, sustained posture tolerance, and return-to-work readiness.

Treatment Approach

Your program is designed around the demands of your specific role. Treatment progressively rebuilds structural capacity, corrects movement dysfunction contributing to the injury, and includes a graded work simulation component. Return-to-work planning is integrated from day one.

Recovery Pathway

Phase 1

Injury Management

Reduce pain and inflammation, restore basic function, and establish your return-to-work goal and timeline.

Phase 2

Occupational Loading

Progressive strengthening matched to job demands including lifting, carrying, sustained postures, and repetitive movements.

Phase 3

Return to Work

Graded work simulation, functional capacity assessment, and coordination with WorkSafeBC and employer as needed.

Common Questions

Do I need WorkSafeBC approval before starting?

Approved WorkSafeBC claims are covered directly. You can also begin treatment out-of-pocket and submit for reimbursement if your claim is pending approval.

What if my employer says my injury is not work-related?

The determination of work-relatedness is made by WorkSafeBC, not your employer. If you believe your injury occurred at work, you have the right to file a claim regardless of your employer's position.

Can physiotherapy help me avoid surgery for a work injury?

In many cases, yes. Structured rehabilitation can resolve work-related back, shoulder, and knee injuries that might otherwise proceed to surgical management. Early assessment is key to preserving conservative treatment options.
